With the summer in full swing, it's time for another update..... After serving up French Open commentary for Tennis Channel, Martina hit the ground running, making an appearance on the popular British TV game show Beat the Star. Then it was off to New York City where she attended the 2008 Inaugural Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony of the Women’s International Hall of Fame at its new, permanent home, located in the Sports Museum of America. After spending a few days at home in Florida, she is traveling back across the pond to provide her unique brand of commentary for Tennis Channel’s coverage of the Wimbledon Championships as well as to play in the Ladies' Invitation Doubles Event and to promote the commercial debut of Art Grand Slam in the UK.

May is shaping up to be a busy month for Martina. After spending a few days promoting the USTA’s National Tennis Month, she’ll stay in NYC to help with the Grand Opening of the Sports Museum of America of which she is an honorary trustee. Then she’s got only a few days off before she jets down to New Orleans for an exhibition of Art Grand Slam. In partnership with Tennis Channel, she will be bringing part of her Art Grand Slam collection to the Big Easy’s LeMieux Galleries. Juro and Martina will also be there creating an original work of art which will be auctioned off to raise money for the Youth Tennis Program at New Orleans City Park (check the schedule section for details).
And all this before Martina heads to Roland Garros for the French Open in late May!!!

Martina will return to her old stomping grounds of Wimbledon, England on June 25th but instead of competing on the courts, she will instead join John McEnroe and other tennis greats such as former U.S. Open finalists Greg Rusedski and three-time Wimbledon champ Borris Becker to provide analysis for the two week tournament. This announcement comes just weeks after she garnished praises as a lead anchor for the Tennis Channel’s coverage of the French Open at Roland-Garros from many, including Sports Illustrated, which wrote that it is “Always nice to hear a former player commentate like an objective and candid journalist and not simply a cheerleader.” Martina’s experience on the grass courts of Wimbledon will help her provide an accurate yet unique perspective for each match of the two week tournament. With live and exclusive coverage of beginning Monday 25 June on BBC One and BBC Two, BBC Radio, interactive through BBCi, and bbc.co.uk/sport, you can follow all the exciting action wherever you are.
